In 1937 the squadron was remustered as a bomber squadron, now under Harris as Group commander. It was in bombers that No.50 went to war in 1939. In 1952 the squadron gained jet bombers, and it was in Vulcans that the squadron went to bomb the Falklands in 1982.

About the Author
